dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to identify and evaluate barriers and facilitators to participation in organized physical among summer campers. The investigation uses narrative inquiry approach triangulated with observations, interviews, and open-ended surveys. Systematic observations and semi-structured interviews were collected during daily, organized recreation during the summer session at 4-H Summer Camp Rock Eagle. Data was analyzed thematically using the constant comparative method. Emerging trends included the effects of physical factors, personal interaction, and familial experience on campers’ participation in physical activity.
