dc.description.abstractThis is an exploratory qualitative study that investigates the experiences of training professionals with more than 20 years of experience in graduate-level training of counselors. The study explores contemporary issues in the selection, instruction, supervision, and preparation of trainees for the field of counseling. This study also identifies the needs, strengths, and challenges of the current population of graduate students entering training programs. The findings of this study provide important foundational data for future research about counselor training.
