dc.description.abstractThe advent of Web Services has revolutionized the way web-based applications communicate. However, an ongoing problem has been how to discover the appropriate web services. There have been techniques which were purely based on the syntactic aspects of the web services. This approach is often not adequate due to the fact that it never really considered the semantics of the web service. Henceforth, there has been significant research on semantically discovering web services. In this thesis, we compare and analyze three SAWSDL based semantic web service discovery algorithms namely, SAWSDL-MX, MWSDI and TVERSKY.
