Phylogenetic Tree Display is a web application and database schema for storing and interactively displaying genetic relatedness data. The web display has a unique combination of features that is not available in other tree displays programs. The interface is deployed on a web sever that delivers high performance, accessibility, and availability. The use of server/client architecture eliminates the need to install software on the client machines. It is accessible by a broad range of web browsers and allows interactive sub-tree selection and interactive tree cutting to generate clusters of genotypes. It allows users to configure leaf node hyperlinks. The interface takes as input the popular NEXUS tree format. The web interface was developed using Microsoft Visual studio .NET. The data used in the application is stored in a RDBMS database. An interface package has been deployed on our cotton related database resource sites.
