The use of interactivity in the online news media and its impact on young readers

This study is designed to examine the effects of interactive options in online news media. Data were obtained from a survey of 138 college students in a southeastern university. Results showed that user’s perceived interactivity of online news media was a significant predictor for the degree of general satisfaction and perceived credibility. The study also revealed that the significance of the results was not diminished after controlling for variables such as user’s Internet usage and traditional newspaper usage.
