This is a collection of photographs taken by Ian Firth, a professor in the College of Environment and Design at UGA from 1974 to 2003. They record a wide variety of landscapes--most of them in Western Europe and North America--and were intended for use in teaching courses in landscape design and historic preservation. The year each photograph was taken is recorded so that the collection may also be useful in analyzing various ways landscapes change over time. These images were scanned from color slides; most of the original photographs were taken with a Rollei B 35 camera.
