The Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development (CAED) was contacted by Augusta Dairyman to evaluate the feasibility of construction an on-site processing facility to produce milk for the local market. The CAED previously worked with Polk County High School’s DECCA clubs and developed and administered a survey to area residents to gauge their interest and willingness to purchase locally produced milk products. This information will be used as a proxy to represent Augusta area consumer interest and willingness to pay for locally grown milk products.en_US
